🗓️ Weekly Rundown🗓️

  • Local Cantina with the gang – Pick LC > Canal LC

  • Filed taxes - 1st try got rejected

  • Government is my greatest op – they are looking tyrannical on April 15th. Hope they don’t forget why we have the 2nd Amendment.

  • I hate taxes – feel free to skip the next bullet about my tax hatred

  • Fun fact: there were no income taxes in the U.S. before 1912 outside of some to fund the Civil War in the 1800s.

    • Income taxes started in 1913 - it was 1% over 3k (only top ~2–3% had that and paid - 90k in today’s dollars)

      • 1 – inflation - wow

      • 2 – 1% seems far less tyrannical

    • We pay taxes on the money we make, then again on when we spend it via sales tax, but they don’t stop there! You have to pay on the house you live in and the land it sits on via property tax, but we aren’t done! What about your investments? Capital gains! Your cigarettes? They have a built-in excise tax.

    • The Boston Tea Party was over a small tax on tea, but we are ok paying 20%+ on all income today? To fund what? Interest on our debt #PonziScheme.

    • If I could designate my money to go to teacher/cop/firefighter salaries that would make this so much less painful but knowing the tax dollars are used very ineffectively is painful.

    • If I wanted my money wasted I’d waste it myself.

  • Backed into the wrong driveway at work and got cursed out for it because why would he want me to cut when he has 5 mowers? Why does he have 5 mowers? What does he know that I don’t?

  • Buck 50 – 150 mile relay race. I was leg 4, 14, and 24, totaling ~15 miles of hills. We completed it in just over 21 hours

  • Between 2/3 of my legs being at night and an emergency run for ATF for the bus, I got a grand total of no sleep

  • A guy on our team had a sick bus – it was a short bus with the back seats ripped out and replaced with bunk beds. It was so sick, I want one.

  • 950 ft elevation gain on a single 6 mile run to hell, but the pickle juice they gave after was top 10 best things I’ve ever had in my life #Elite

  • Survived on kiwis, bananas, Pop-Tarts, hot dogs, donuts, and Rice Krispies Treats. The gang’s tummies were abysmal.

Down Bad #Tummyaches

  • There were really cool people at the Buck 50

  • Capped off with Chipotle and a full jar of pickles with the juice, then a 15-hour nap.

  • Was fun - I want to do it again. I think I might sign up for a marathon, or just run the distance on my own.

  • Chat did I cook? - 2 tickets Columbus to Minneapolis and 3 tickets Seattle to Charleston: all 5 tickets combined were under $550 Shout out aunt Emily

  • Will be flying to MN road tripping to WA then flying to SC for Faiths graduation and da beach

  • WBOTW: Aunt Emily-preparing lodging and plane tickets to this epic celebration of Faiths graduation
