‼️Announcements‼️

It’s hard to write an update when I have no service or time to do it. Will be back to Wednesdays at 5 this week as I will have returned to OH by then.

2Q26 Quarterly report will be out after the bell Monday.

I hate making this on the phone - so frustrating and it just never works how it should. I can’t wait for next weeks where I can use my lap top

🗓️ Weekly Rundown 🗓️

  • Arrived at Reno and saw Annie’s place and the rental - both were sweet

  • Saw Lake Tahoe - the 2nd biggest alpine lake behind Lake Titicaca #Lol

  • Saw Donner Pass, named after the Donner party when they came through…

  • The Donner party wasn’t a fun party - they got trapped by heavy snow and spent the winter there. Half of them died and survivors resorted to cannibalism. The mountains were pretty though

  • Family reunion at Annie’s: learned about the Drye side of the family, off-roaded in the jeep, climbed the hill, saw wild horses, talked with family, and napped on the outdoor couch

  • New favorite bit: the Dayton Dryes recently-ish got a new puppy that’s been referred to as the “Asshole” since it’s doing puppy things. That being said, it opened the door to jokes such as Richard showing us photos of his Asshole laying on the couch or playing outside

  • Swam in Lake Tahoe then went to Edgewood

  • Dance dinner at the same place Steph Curry and other celebrities golfed - was so beautiful there and I saw the best sunset on Lake Tahoe

  • I confirmed I’m not a fan of expensive places to eat, as the food is amazing, it’s small servings, and I don’t like having to act proper, but it was very fun and good

  • We were very underdressed - Nick was in jorts and I was in my Tevas, not in a tie - maybe that’s why they gave us a privet room for the squad

  • Post-dinner fun with Nick, Thor, and Emily

  • Went to the coolest alpine lake in CA - it was beautiful and the perfect swimming temperature. It had a crazy echo so you can talk all the way across the lake at normal volume

  • Went to the casino… slots just sucked our money so we switched to blackjack where I won all my money back and some, but then put it all on black on the way out and lost it all

  • Thor on the other hand was killing it at blackjack, even more, then placed it all on black and won - he then took Nick and me out for Chick-fil-A

  • Dropped off Thor, then changed plans and we’re off to the Tetons - drove the many hours through the night

  • Fun fact: Téton is French for nipple/breast

  • Was likely the most beautiful place I’ve ever been, after a hike with a crazy scramble at the end - an alpine lake that was tinted a pretty greenish blue - Delta Lake

  • Booked it to Yellowstone and wow, it’s huge and had some sick stuff

  • The waterfall in the canyon was insane and the peak

  • Grand Prismatic Spring was something else - bubbling mud #RottenEggs, geysers, perfect double rainbows, and Old Faithful was sweet

  • I was shocked by how impatient people are while we waited for Old Faithful as it was a few minutes late

  • Ran 6 miles… but hiked over 20 miles with over 6,500ft of elevation, and that was only stuff I opened Strava for

  • WBOTW: The Drye side of the family - was super fun seeing everyone and all the efforts they put in, like Gpa J planning a lot of it and getting the rental, Annie hosting, Mary Anne’s nice dinner, and Jim’s cooking

🦬High Low Buffalo🦬

High:

Delta Lake in the Tetons

Low:

So so tired + back to granola bar, canned meat, and PB&J diet

Buffalo:

Put out the start of a forest fire - there were small patches of fire all along a road and we used our 4 gallons of drinking water to help put it out. There were 10+ people emptying their small water bottles but they added up and we ended up getting it put out before the fire department got there.

🧠Something New I Learned🧠

  • I don’t think people make enough sacrifices for their friends. They just let them move across the country solo when that’s a death sentence to an extremely close friendship since it can’t be the same that far apart. The answer could be friends should move to city in packs.

  • I learned a lot more about my family on the Drye side

  • Why do we work so much when it doesn’t even matter - as soon as you die someone is taking your job and it’s like you weren’t even there. So if what you do doesn’t matter, and you don’t like it wouldn’t it make logical sense to just find something you enjoy, like living on a beach and catching enough fish to eat to live on, and just sit on the beach all day with your friends? Both scenarios you die and nothing matters, but one avoids gay Teams meetings

  • There was a point in history where it was unconstitutional to have income tax - they then made the 16th Amendment solely so they can. Isn’t that crazy that it was unconstitutional to do it, so they changed it because they wanted to, and now a large chunk of money is stolen from us and given to the IRS for
