Drove through the night to Rocky Mountain National Park from Yellowstone - needed to be in before the gates were manned
We're getting our use from the America the Beautiful pass
Stars in Rocky were beautiful - not sure if I was looking at a faint Milky Way or clouds
Hiked Flattop Mountain and saw a few lakes, mountains, and a lot of the prairie dog things - very pretty hike
Fun doing the arches pose in mountains - almost as funny as dad selfies
Hours before the airport we drove to the top of another 14er: Blue Sky Mountain
Saw 4 mountain goats on Blue Sky - 1 was a kid
Smooth flight home - 0 delays
Crashed so hard after getting home for the next few days and ate everything in sight - was craving colorful food that was not processed
Came back to the Vacation House after pickleball with Ms. Campbell to see a rowdy shindig - seemed to be celebrating the Beachs and Vegas before they move south with wings on the patio, bourbon and cigars
Ms. Campbell is now my girlfriend
Planned on going to church and sit with E$ and OSauer but came too late and got lost and sat in a sea of high schoolers, only to find gang on my way out in their cars #Bag=Fumbled
Watched World Cup with E$ and OSauer at Local Cantina and watched Spain put belt to ass on Argentina with 20 shots on goal to 0
Why are so many people getting clean from scrolling? Just lost another person I send reels to and it's becoming a pattern - down 3 fellow scrollers this month
Is this a sign I should quit? But if I quit, who will send racist reels to my Morocco people
Getting ready to move out of the Hood house on Friday, under 2.5 trips to get everything back to the Vacation House
Mattress will fill the truck's bed alone in one trip - I expect 2 or 3 trips
Will miss living with Scrape
I think Imma make the drive to Charleston SC in 2 weeks to see KJ2Ks basic training graduation

WBOTW: Nick's Honda Element - it survived a booter of a drive and was lodging, made it up and down impressive trails too - 1 working AC short of a perfect vessel of travel west

After a long trip from Reno to Denver full of hiking with only leisure swimming or alpine lake cold plunges to clean off, I was smelly - I didn't want to be the stinky guy on a 3hr flight so I got the soap out and took a very cold bath in a freezing fast-moving stream. After almost getting washed away and freezing my balls off in the dark and putting on my only fresh set of clothes, I was clean for my flight home… only to have to sit between 2 Indians that both reeked - must have been hour 73 of their 72 hour deodorant.
Buffalo:
I think I am going to vibe code my own newsletter platform and leave Beehiiv. My costum platform that has features like being able to save each update as a PDF, since if Beehiiv shuts down the updates are gone and we can't have that, plus I will make it possible to edit on the phone.
🧠Something New I Learned🧠
You readjust to lower altitude fast, but it's so much easier to run fast and talk when at 800ft than 5000ft
People don't think about the risks they take at all so the risks are preselected for them, like deciding to risk knee injuries from running instead of not realizing the preselected higher chance of heart disease if you just stay at home and scroll reels and never run
No matter what risks you take, you're still going to die - you can only stall it, but if you play it too safe, you risk missing out on things that make you happy/give you life, and then what's the point of living longer
You have to do things in a certain order to get the most out of life: Ski when you're 20 and read when you're 70 is more effective than reading in your 20s and skiing in your 70s
