🗓️ Weekly Rundown 🗓️

  • Found a new park across 33 on the way to Chestnut

  • Ms. Campbell started the Bible in a Year plan in the New Testament with me to close it out - I struggle to read 1 a day, usually 2 one day, 0 the next, so this should help with that

  • Ms Campbell got a new puppy

  • Walking Blacklick

  • Finished Allegiant by Veronica Roth

  • Games and Buckeyes with Grandma and Burres

  • Kate was home and Grandma and I kicked her and Wyatts butts in Euchre

  • Getting dark fast and mowing hours are shortening

  • Got an interview to be Envisage's "finance planning specialist" and lunch with the planning department following

  • Am I getting sick? - it feels like it but I haven't been sick for ages

  • Yet to lose in fantasy football this season but the injuries are starting to pile up so I don't foresee this lasting long - following a TinyRowles loss I'm now #1 in the league

  • Church with E$

  • Thinking of going to OU for homecoming this weekend

  • 20 ball Cracka! - heart rate never went above 170 except in miles 19 and 20 when I finished going an 8:24 with a tad of hills

  • Was on the phone with Homie G for a few miles and that did make the run go faster

  • Snackies make a world of difference when running - Clif Chews, salted margarita are so goated

  • Last time I will have to run past the crazy dog that will cross the street and chase me after this long run

  • Ran 30 miles, 20 from the long run - to see it on Strava CLICK HERE

🦬High Low Buffalo🦬

High:
Finishing the 20 ball was sick because now it's taper time and the marathon is just around the corner, 2 weekends from now

Low:
Mad tired and feeling like I was going to get sick on Tuesday

Buffalo:
Mom got a heart attack when I told her Ms Campbell and I were looking at dogs - I guess that it was a mission to scout out dogs her dad saw and wanted checked out to be their vacation home dog was a detail I could have added because after that her heart attack waned

🧠Something New I Learned🧠

  • To get more of something, you have to risk it/be ok with losing it - to get more money yout have ot risk it in the market, to get stonger you lifting and risk getting injured or weaker the next day from soreness

  • A good way to reduce risk is to be more diversified

  • Stocks are very hard to diversify because of index funds - everything is in some fund, so when you sell your fund you're selling the whole market, thus every sector is now correlated more than before - solution might be alternative investments like private equity, art, crypto, nickels (worth 6.8 cents of metal per 5 cent nickel), gold, or sports teams

  • Seeds are considered someone's property, so if I were to grow a plant without paying the person I got the seed from, they could sue me - seems kinda dumb because they used to save the best plants' seeds and distribute them to everyone, so by natural selection the food would keep getting better, but now 1 person (the seed owner) benefits because you need to pay them while everyone else sees less benefit

    • Is that why everything is seedless, so you can't use their seeds or people can't grow things themselves? I read that there are a handful of companies that have 95% of the seeds
