‼️Announcements‼️
Quarterly update will be out within the week - targeting friday after the bell
Next week will be a full year of updates - that’s kinda cool
🗓️ Weekly Rundown 🗓️
Spent most of the week playing chess and rotting
800 Elo in chess now
Got the j*b offer but oddly didn’t feel excited - it felt already priced in
Still need to read the terms. I get 16 days of freedom (PTO) a year. The rest of the time I’m making financial plans and giving financial advice
The j*b should be sick as far as j*bs go, but the commute will eat butt
Ran the Columbus Marathon

O said take in the crowd and no airpods until after mile 13 - that was a great call
Made the mistake of assuming I was cooked - on both 2 mile runs at a slow pace after the hospital visit
Runs felt hard and my heart rate ripped to 160 bpm out the gate at a 10 min mile. On the 20-miler at 9:30 pace, it didn’t hit 160 until mile 12
Race day: started at 9:40 pace with my heart rate at 165, so I counted myself out and accepted every fireball shooter, jello shot, and champagne with OJ or beer I was offered - there was a surprising amount offered and they made the run way more fun, but with an upset tummy
Biggest downside: I had to piss so bad I waited a few minutes in a line mid race to rip long piss - remember this, it matters later
By mile 12 I started doing the math. After a few miscalculations (blamed on the jello shots and fireball), I figured an 8:50 pace for the last 13 would still get me sub-4. If I went down in flames and entered the hurt locker, I’d just stop at every beer offered, eat chews, and turn it into a leisurely jog with snacks and beer. No real downside to turning on the jets and ran right past the beer signs
At mile 16 I re-ran the numbers and realized the original numbers were off - I actually needed an 8:30 not 8:50 and now needed an 8:15
I was able to pick it up to an 8:15 just to realize at the finish, the course was a quarter mile long according to my watch
My watch read under 4 hours but official time was 4:02, so the potty break and slow start cost me

Rotted watching da Bears with O and Ash
Rotted again playing chess
Ran 30 miles this week, 26.4 from the marathon - See it on STRAVA CLICK HERE

WBOTW: The husband and wife on High Street near the Hood house giving out jello shots. Very funny, and the jello shot was the vibe turnaround of the race
🦬 High Low Buffalo 🦬
High:
Marathon with friends
Low:
Mad sore and very tired after the marathon and the day after
Buffalo:
My running shoes have had quite the life: 3 continents, multiple countries, tons of hikes across many states, the Buck 50, the marathon, and a few other fun events but they’re approaching retirement
🧠 Something New I Learned 🧠
I cant ever count myself out because I got that dawg in me
If you do something over and over, it doesn’t matter if you’re naturally bad at it because if you do it enough and you get good by volume
I tend to want all the benefits with none of the cost: I want the j*b to respond quicker so I can work there, then when they do I wish they hadn’t so I can keep cutting grass
🎵 Song of the Week 🎵

Honorable Mentions:
Va Va Voom by Nicki Minaj
In and Out by Lud Foe
My Way by Calvin Harris
Good God Hot Damn by Hayden Blount
Dreams and Nightmares by Meek Mill
Till next time,
